In Alysa's role as the director for the Patricia A Tomson Center for Violence Prevention she oversees curriculum infusion of bystander education and strategies within pre-service teacher education and social sciences programming at UNI. She also leads the marketing, recruitment, training, implementation and technical support, and curriculum revisions of the Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) Strategies program among educational systems, victim advocacy programs, and youth-serving organizations in the Midwest.
Mozak has an extensive professional background as a victim advocate and violence prevention educator in both nonprofit and higher education. She serves on many local and state committees informing best practices in interpersonal violence prevention. In her spare time, Alysa enjoys biking, yoga, playing with her maltipoo, Tori, and going to live music.
