MVP Fall Train the Trainers

Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) Train the Trainers (TTT)

DESCRIPTON: 

MVP master trainers conduct intensive two-day trainings with selected professionals of a school or an organization(s). After the training, participants can lead MVP sessions and advise and support peer-led MVP teams in their school and/or organization. MVP trained facilitators must follow a basic structured lesson format utilizing the MVP Playbook/trainers’ guide, and other curricular material for fidelity purposes. 

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN A TTT:

To be effective in achieving intended outcomes, prospective TTT participants must be highly qualified, seasoned trainers or teachers who have demonstrated the following:

  • An advanced skill level in training and facilitation skills and engagement of multi-dimensional learners
  • Success in the field and champions for the topic area
  • Completion of the entire MVP Strategies TTT
  • Ability to deliver the training when needed
  • Ability to attend at least one professional development opportunity through PATCVP a year 

LEARNING GOALS AND PROFICENCIES:  

As a result of an MVP TTT, participants will be better prepared to:

  • Understand and apply the dynamics of bystander engagement related to gender violence, bullying, and discriminatory behaviors
  • Apply current practices in delivering and leading an MVP training session
  • Deliver proven facilitative skills to promote learner engagement, reflective practice, critical thinking, and skill acquisition
  • Show mastery in delivering key MVP training strategies commonly used such as, brainstorming, processing/process checks, critical thinking strategies, and the like
  • Use appropriate levels of intervention when managing difficult training situations, including disruptive learner behaviors
  • Initiate and promote plans of action to strengthen participant bystander engagement methods

 

 


Registration
